NBA 2K24 Summer League: Spurs escape Thunder's late rally in Las Vegas

San Antonio concludes its Summer League play with a narrow victory over Oklahoma City.

A balanced offensive effort helped the San Antonio Spurs overcome a late rally and record a 98-94 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in NBA 2K24 Summer League tournament play at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on Sunday evening.

The Spurs came out firing on all cylinders early, jumping out to a 29-17 advantage after one quarter. Although the Thunder were notably more competitive over the middle periods, they had only knocked three points from their deficit going into the final quarter. However, Oklahoma City clawed back and owned as much as a three-point lead with just over three minutes remaining before San Antonio was able to finish on a 10-3 run to secure the come-from-behind victory.

Jared Butler led the Thunder with 31 points to go with four rebounds, one assist and three steals. No. 10 pick Cason Wallace supplied 13 points, three rebounds, one assist, three steals and one block. Keyontae Johnson and Jahmi’us Ramsey turned in 11 points apiece, three-rebound tallies while recording two and one steal, respectively.

Erik Stevenson paced the Spurs with 23 points, adding seven boards and four assists. Javante McCoy put up 18 points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal. Charles Bediako generated a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double that included one assist. Sir’Jibari Rice delivered 13 points, one rebound, four steals and one block. Second-round pick Sidy Cissoko totaled 10 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two blocks.

Both teams have now concluded NBA 2K24 Summer League play.
