Thirty-Five | 20 celebrates the determination and triumph of the “Detroit Bad Boys” and the “Goin’ to Work” Pistons teams. This dual anniversary exhibition recognizes the significance of these two great teams and will feature iconic and surprising artifacts from both seasons. 

NBA players make the super-human athleticism it takes to play in the league look effortless. But hustle isn’t pretty. Separated by 15 years, these two championship Pistons teams shared a pleasure in mucking up the league’s pretty offenses and fans could see the endearing effort; then and now as it comes to life once again in an engaging new museum exhibit.

The exhibition will highlight how each of these teams were assembled and how they developed their signature styles of play and chronicle Detroit’s march to the top of the basketball mountain in two different eras with artifacts, images, and media from the team and Detroit Historical Society collections.
