The Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, 95-90, at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Wednesday night in the NBA2K24 Summer League.
The Celtics had to work quite hard to get past the Lakers, as they rallied after a slow start. The Lakers raced to a 28-19 lead in the first quarter and increased it to 10 going into the second half. However, the Celtics responded with a 30-17 third-quarter and closed the game out with a 22-20 score in the fourth quarter.
Jordan Walsh led the way for the Celtics with 25 points and eight rebounds, while JD Davison had an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double while also adding six assists, two steals and two blocks. Jay Scrubb scored 18 points off the bench, and Dalano Banton delivered 12 points with six assists.

Max Christie was the best player for the Lakers following a 24-points and eight rebounds with D’Moi Hodge generating 22 points and four rebounds. Jalen Hood-Schifino tallied 15 points, four rebounds and three assists.
Up next for the Celtics is a matchup against the Knicks on Friday. The Lakers will also play Friday in a game against the Grizzlies.
