NBA 2K24 Summer League: Pistons comeback from a 17-point deficit to beat Raptors

The Detroit Pistons defeated the Toronto Raptors, 94-90, in the NBA 2K24 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Wednesday.

This game was full of swings, with all four quarters being decided by six points or more. A 36-16 second quarter gave Toronto a game-high 17-point lead, but Detroit outscored them 52-36, in the second half. The Pistons went on a 5-0 run in the last 31 seconds to secure their comeback.

Detroit shot 47% from the field and 32% from three-point range, while holding Toronto to 40% from the field and a poor 12% from distance. The Pistons also recorded 18 steals to the Raptors seven, forcing 20 turnovers.

The Raptors (0-2) were led by Gradey Dick, who collected 22 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Moses Brown amassed 13 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. Mouhamadou Gueye totaled 15 points and seven rebounds, while RJ Nembhard led the bench with 13 points.

The Pistons (1-1) were led by Jared Rhoden, who tallied 18 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals. Ausar Thompson accrued 17 points, nine rebounds, three assists, four steals and two blocks. Marcus Sasser finished with 15 points, seven assists and two steals.

Toronto plays on Thursday, against the Brooklyn Nets. As for Detroit, they face the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.
