SAN FRANCISCO — The Golden State Warriors defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 92-68 in the California Classic NBA Summer League at Chase Center on Sunday.

The Warriors cruised to an easy victory over the Lakers on the second day of the 2024 NBA California Classic, and it was a game in which Golden State dominated from start to finish. A 31-17 score at the end of the first quarter set the tone for the Warriors, and they never looked back the rest of the way. Golden State won each of the four quarters separately to secure a second dominant win in as many days. The Warriors moved to 2-0 with the win, while the Lakers fell to 0-2.

Ethan Thompson led the way for the Warriors with 22 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Daeqwon Plowden, who left Saturday’s win over the Heat with a right leg injury, notched 14 points and eight rebounds. Mantas Rubstavicius posted 12 points off the bench.

Dalton Knecht led the Lakers with 12 points. Colin Castleton finished with a double-double, notching 10 points and 10 rebounds. Tommy Kuhse and Sean East II each recorded 10 points. Bronny James did not play due to swelling in his left knee.

Both teams will continue Summer League play Wednesday, with the Warriors facing the Kings and the Lakers taking on the Heat.
