Player Bio

Justin Holiday was born in 1989 in Mission Hills, California. He is the son of Shawn and Toya Holiday, who both played college basketball at Arizona State. His mother, Toya, was named Pac-10 Player of the Year in 1982. His younger brothers Jrue and Aaron have also both played in the NBA. Justin played his high school ball at Campbell Hall School in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. As a senior in 2006, Holiday averaged 19.1 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per contest and led Campbell Hall to the state Class IV championship. Fans can follow Holiday on Twitter and Instagram (JustHolla7). Justin Holiday spent four years (2007-2011) at the University of Washington, played in a combined 123 games for the Huskies and made 56 career starts. Holiday spent the first two years of his collegiate career developing his game. He averaged 0.7 ppg as a freshman and improving that number to 2.1 ppg the next year. But Holiday broke out as a junior. He compiled 5.9 points and 4.5 rebounds per contest and made 21 starts. That season, Holiday was named to the Pac-12 All-Defense team, in recognition of his work ethic and defensive prowess. Holiday's senior season was his best. The forward averaged 10.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest, starting all 35 games he played.
