Selected by the Utah Jazz in the first round (12th overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft as an early entry candidate after leaving Colorado University after his sophomore season... Heading into 2019-20 season, appeared in 429 career games (67 starts), averaging 9.5 points (.423 FG%, .355 3P%, .771 FT%), 3.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists in 21.1 minutes per game over eight seasons with three teams (Utah Jazz, Cleveland Cavaliers, Sacramento Kings) ... With the Utah Jazz, appeared in 382 career games (43 starts), averaging 9.6 points (.425 FG%, .355 3P%, .768 FT%), 2.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists in 20.8 minutes per game ... With the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018-19, appeared in 34 games (24 starts) in 2018-19, averaging 11.6 points (.400 FG%, .378 3P%, .806 FT%), 5.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists in 28.8 minutes per games ... Burks played two seasons with the Knicks (2020-22), over 130 games with New York, Burks averaged 27.5 minutes, 12.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. On July 11, 2022, Burks was traded to the Detroit Pistons. He spent the next two seasons with the Detroit. Burks averaged 21.5 minutes, 12.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists. On February 8, 2024, Burks was traded to the Knicks, marking his second stint with New York.
