Player Bio

Jerome Robinson was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, to Amy and Jerome Sr. Robinson. His father played basketball at the University of South Florida and overseas. Robinson shares his initials with three younger brothers: Jeremy, Justin and Jonathan. He attended Needham B. Broughton High School in Raleigh. In addition to basketball, Robinson played baseball and football in high school. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys camping, hiking, fishing and watching nature-related TV shows. The 6-foot-4 guard started as a freshman and averaged 11.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists. He missed a month of his freshman season after injuring his wrist but returned in early March. Robinson took off as a scorer in his sophomore campaign. He led the Eagles with 18.7 points to go with 3.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game. The guard had a season-high 32 points in a win over Sacred Heart, but his scoring exploits did not help BC in the ACC, as the team won only twice. The Eagles were more competitive in 2017-18 with Robinson and fellow guard Ky Bowman provided a scoring punch. The junior led the squad with 20.7 points. He exploded for 46 points in a loss to Notre Dame. The Eagles were invited to the NIT, where Robinson scored 17 points in a loss to Western Kentucky. After three seasons at Boston College, he opted for the 2018 NBA Draft and was selected 13th overall by the Clippers.
