Player Bio

Devonte' Terrell Graham was born in 1995 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Dewanna King. He attended Needham B. Broughton High School in his hometown, where he posted 15.7 and 5.4 assists per game as a junior on a team that went 26-6 and made it to the 4A State final. For his senior year, Graham transferred to the prestigious Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. He joined forces with Donovan Mitchell to lead the club to a 33-0 record en route to the national prep title. Graham was also part of the USA contingent that won Gold at the 2015 University Games. You can follow him on Instagram (@dtaegraham). Graham could have had a relatively anonymous collegiate career had his original plans occurred. He had planned to attend Appalachian State, but he had a fantastic senior season at Brewster Academy and led his team to a National Prep Championship. In the collegiate realm, he ended up with the Jayhawks. After coming off the bench for his freshman season, Graham became a starter next to Frank Mason as a sophomore. The two guards caused headaches for Big 12 opponents for the next two seasons. Graham concluded his sophomore season by putting up 27 points in the Big 12 Dhampionship game against West Virginia. He averaged 11.3 points and 3.7 assists as a sophomore, then 13.4 points and 4.1 assists in the following season. After Mason left for the NBA, Graham ran the Jayhawk show. He provided 17.3 points and 7.2 assists per game in 2017-18. He had back-to-back games of 35 points. Kansas advanced to the Final Four before losing to Villanova. Graham averaged 17.4 points and 5.6 assists in the Big Dance. Graham was drafted in the 2nd round, 34th overall, in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks but was then traded to the Charlotte Hornets for two second-round picks.
