PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Dorian Finney-Smith signed with Dallas as an undrafted free agent on July 8, 2016, and re-signed with the franchise on July 11, 2019.

Finney-Smith (6-7, 220) holds career averages of 6.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 24.4 minutes per game in 254 games (142 starts) with the Mavericks. He led the team in games played in both 2016-17 and 2018-19, appearing in 81 games both years (his 81 appearances in 2016-17 marked the most by an undrafted rookie in franchise history).

The 3-and-D wing averaged 9.5 points (.466 FG%, .376 3FG%) and 5.7 rebounds per game in 2019-20, setting new career highs in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage and 3-point percentage for the fourth straight year to begin his career.

BEFORE NBA

A native of Portsmouth, Virginia, Finney-Smith played his final three collegiate seasons at Florida after transferring from Virginia Tech following his freshman campaign. He became the first Florida player to join the 1,000-point club after transferring to the school (finished with 1,220 career points at UF). As a senior in 2015-16, Finney-Smith averaged 14.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 36 games for the Gators en route to being named Second Team All-SEC by the coaches and Third Team All-SEC by the Associated Press.
