A tip layup from rookie second-round pick Jalen Wilson capped off a hard-fought 99-94 overtime win for the Brooklyn Nets over the Toronto Raptors in the NBA 2K24 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on Thursday afternoon.

The Nets opened the game clicking on all cylinders and soared to a 16-point halftime lead. However, the second half mostly belonged to the Raptors who scored a combined 57 points in the final two periods of regulation to force overtime.

Brooklyn bounced back in the extra period and reached the target score of 98 with a surge capped off by Wilson’s bucket.

Wilson led the Nets with 17 points, complementing them with seven rebounds and one steal. Armoni Brooks, Kennedy Chandler and David Duke, Jr. all tallied 15 points each. Matt Lewis supplied 13 points and five rebounds. 

Ron Harper, Jr. paced the Raptors with 19 points, three assists, one steal and one block. Joe Wieskamp turned in 18 points and three blocks. DJ Hogg furnished 13 points, four assists and one steal.

The two teams now await potential opponents in the playoff round, which begins Saturday.
