Player Bio

Anderson was born in 1993 in Fairview, New Jersey. He is the son of Kyle Sr. and Suzanne Anderson. His father was a longtime basketball coach. Anderson's nickname is "Slo Mo" due to his playing style. Anderson led St. Anthony High School to two consecutive titles and was named state player of the year during his senior campaign. Anderson was named the 2014 Pac-12 Tournament MVP and helped UCLA to the Pac-12 Tournament title. He also helped lead the Bruins to the 2014 NCAA tournament's Sweet 16. The guard led UCLA in rebounds (8.8) and assists (6.5) per game in the 2013-14 season. Anderson was second on the Bruins in points per game (14.6). The Fairview, New Jersey native also garnered a spot on the 2013-14 All-Pac-12 first team. He was named to the 2012-13 Pac-12 All-Freshman team, as well. Anderson declared for the 2014 NBA draft after his sophomore season and was selected in the first round with the 30th overall pick by the Spurs.
