Cam Whitmore was the 20th overall pick by Houston in the 2023 NBA Draft… he appeared in 47 games with two starts as a rookie last season while averaging 12.3 ppg and 3.8 rpg… Whitmore joined Freeman Williams (1981-82) as the only players in NBA history to have averaged at least 12.0 ppg while playing fewer than 19.0 mpg in a season with at least 25 games played… of reserves with 30-plus games played off the bench in 2023-24, Whitmore averaged a league-high 24.4 points per 36 minutes played.

Whitmore was an early entry candidate for the 2023 NBA Draft following his freshman season at Villanova… he was named Big East Freshman of the Year after averaging 12.5 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 1.4 spg and 1.4 3-pointers made.

Whitmore averaged 18.7 ppg at the 2022 FIBA U18 Americas Championship and was named MVP after leading USA Basketball to the gold medal… he was measured with a 40.5” max vertical leap at the 2023 NBA Draft Combine… Whitmore was a McDonald’s All-American and was selected to the Jordan Brand Classic in addition to the 2022 Nike Hoop Summit.
