PERSONAL LIFE

Max, whose full name is Cormac Karl Christie Jr, was selected with the 35th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. His mother, Katrina played and scored more than 1,000 points at Northwestern, and his father Cormac (Max) Sr. played at Wisconsin-Superior. His younger brother, Cameron, was drafted by the Clippers in the 2024 NBA Draft. At Rolling Meadows High School, Max averaged 24.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.0 blocks as a senior. He was a member of the 2019 USA Basketball Team that posted a 6-0 record en route to a gold medal in Brazil, averaging 9.5 points and 3.3 rebounds. He was a 2021 McDonald’s All-American.
