Player Bio

Damion Lee was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to Michelle Riddick in 1992. He led St. Thomas More School in Oakdale, Connecticut, to a 30-7 record and the National Prep School Championship in 2011, averaging 17 points, six rebounds and fiveassists per game. That season, Lee was named a First-team All-New England Preparatory School Athletic Council selection. As a junior at Calvert Hall College High School in Baltimore, Lee was an all-league selection. The following season, he was a First-team All-Baltimore Catholic League selection while also earning second team Baltimore Sun All-Metro honors. He earned a degree in general humanities and social science at Drexel and majored in special education, with a concentration in assistive technology, at Louisville. Learn more about Lee by following him on Twitter (@Dami0nLee) and Instagram (@dami0nlee). The 6-foot-5 Lee began his collegiate career at Drexel. He became a starter as a freshman and provided 12.0 points and 4.4 rebounds for the Dragons. The guard hit 37.5 percent of his three-point attempts and put up at least 20 points in five games. Lee led the team with 17.1 points as a sophomore. He scored a career-high 34 points with 10 rebounds (one of three double-doubles) in a win over Old Dominion. In the fifth game of what would have been his junior season, Lee tore his ACL and had to miss the rest of the season. He returned in 2014-15 and led the CAA with 21.4 points. He topped 30 points five times, but his season ended in February when he fractured his hand. Lee left Drexel as a graduate transfer and headed to Louisville. He led the Cardinals with 15.9 points per game, but he did not get to play in the postseason after the Cardinals were banned due to an ongoing NCAA investigation that would cost coach Rick Pitino his job. Lee was named to the All-ACC Second Team.
