Pelicans' Brandon Ingram out at least a week with right hamstring strain

New Orleans' leading scorer will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days as the Pelicans look the maintain their grip on the No. 10 seed in the West.

In 50 games this season, Brandon Ingram is averaging 22.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — New Orleans Pelicans scoring leader Brandon Ingram, who sat out games on Tuesday and Wednesday because of a sore right hamstring, will be sidelined at least another week, the club announced Wednesday night.

An MRI revealed a mild strain of the injured hamstring, the team announced, adding that Ingram would be re-evaluated in seven to 10 days.

Ingram, who has missed 16 games this season with various ailments, is averaging 22.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 50 games this season. Without Ingram this season, the Pelicans are 2-14.

New Orleans currently holds the10th and final Play-In spot in the West, but just 1 1/2 games ahead of Portland and two games ahead of San Antonio.
