When is the 2024 NBA All-Star Game?
The 2024 NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024. All-Star Weekend will encompass three total nights of events from Feb. 16-18, 2024. For a complete schedule of events, click here.
Where is the 2024 NBA All-Star Game?
Indianapolis will host NBA All-Star for the first time since 1985. The Pacers’ home arena, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, will host the NBA Rising Stars game on Feb. 16, the HBCU Classic presented by AT&T on Feb. 17 and the 73rd NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 18.
State Farm All-Star Saturday Night will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 17 and will feature the Kia Skills Challenge, Starry 3-Point Contest and AT&T Slam Dunk.
What is the format for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game?
As the league celebrates basketball’s deep roots in the state of Indiana, the 73rd NBA All-Star Game will feature the return of the classic matchup between the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference. The traditional scoring system with four 12-minute quarters will also return.
While the NBA All-Star Game will no longer have an untimed fourth quarter or conclude when one team reaches or surpasses the Final Target Score, the teams will continue to compete to win each quarter for a charitable organization of their choosing.
NBA All-Star Game team captains have still been named to lead their respective teams. The captains are the All-Star starter from each conference (Giannis Antetokounmpo, East and LeBron James, West) with the most fan votes in his conference during NBA All-Star Voting presented by AT&T.
How are the NBA All-Star star starters selected?
The 10 starters – two guards and three frontcourt players per conference – are chosen by a combination of fans (50% of the vote), current players (25%) and media (25%).

How are the NBA All-Star reserves selected?
The 30 NBA coaches select the 14 reserves, voting for two guards, three frontcourt players and two players at any position in their respective conferences. Commissioner Adam Silver selects the replacement for any player unable to participate in the All-Star Game, choosing a player from the same conference as the player who is being replaced.

Is there anything new this year at All-Star Weekend?
Yes! New this year is the Stephen vs. Sabrina 3-Point Challenge in which NBA all-time 3-point leader and Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and WNBA single-season 3-point record holder and New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu will compete in “Stephen vs. Sabrina,” the first-ever NBA vs. WNBA 3-Point Challenge.
The night will feature an all-new, innovative LED court, which will carry an endless amount of animation capabilities throughout the night such as a dynamic three-point line, court graphics and much more.
