Sharife Cooper dropped 27 points to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 101-97 victory over the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA 2K24 Summer League on Friday at Cox Pavilion.

The Cavs jumped out to a great start with a 28-17 lead after one quarter and maintained control through the second, pushing it to a 14-point deficit by halftime. The Nets came out with a better effort in the third and outscored the Cavaliers 33-15 to gain a four-point advantage going into the final frame. The Nets held the upper hand to start the quarter, but the Cavs took control down the stretch and executed in the clutch to close out the win.

Cooper shot 8-for-11 from the field and 9-for-11 from the foul line on his way to his game-high 27 points in 27 minutes. Emoni Bates followed up with 16 points, six rebounds, two steals and a block. Sam Merrill logged a double-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, while Isaiah Mobley totaled 15 points, nine rebounds, six assists, a steal and a block.

On the other side, six players scored in double digits for the Nets, led by Armoni Brooks and Jalen Wilson with 17 points each. Kennedy Chandler added 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block, while David Duke Jr. filled the stat sheet with 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block.

Up next for the Nets is a meeting with the Knicks on Sunday. The Cavs are back in action against the Raptors on Sunday.
