NBA 2K24 Summer League: Brown, Suns hold off Heat

The Phoenix Suns defeated the Miami Heat, 73-70, in the NBA 2K24 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Monday.

While there was only one tie and two lead changes in this game, it wasn’t decided until the final shot. The Heat actually missed four attempts in the final minute that would have either tied or given Miami the lead. Trey Jemison was the hero for Phoenix, putting down a game-winning dunk with 46 seconds remaining. Phoenix held the lead for all but one minute in this game. The Suns shot 49 percent from the field while holding the Heat to 40 percent shooting. Phoenix also had 17 steals to Miami’s six, winning the turnover battle, 28-16. They also outscored Miami in the paint, 34-16.

Miami returns to action Thursday versus the Milwaukee Bucks, while Phoenix faces the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday.
