Does your local basketball court deserve an upgrade? Submit your story for the chance to win a full-court renovation.

Enter the 'Every Court Has A Story' contest for a chance to win a full-court renovation for your local community.

Every basketball moment has a court, and every court has a story.

For the second straight summer, the Every Court Has A Story contest is underway as Five-Star Basketball, Project Backboard, Local Hoops and Victory Creative Group team together to give away a full-court renovation.

To enter the contest, submit a 60-120-second video or 4-6 photos about your court at EveryCourtHasAStory.com. The strongest entries will show the importance of the court to your community and the impact a renovation would create. The deadline to submit is June 21, then finalists will be selected and judges will decide the winner, which will be announced on July 8. Complete contest details can be found here.

“We started Every Court Has A Story as a way to discover more courts around the world that could use a renovation,” said Project Backboard founder Dan Peterson. “Public parks are one of the main places where communities are fostered, and the outdoor basketball court is usually the heartbeat of the park. It’s a rare place where community members across generations can connect and learn to problem-solve together.”

Last year, two courts took home the grand prize: Raymond Bush Playground in Brooklyn, NY, and Alleghany Commons Park in Pittsburgh, PA. The Brooklyn renovation was completed last year and the Pittsburgh court will be renovated this summer.

Project Backboard is a non-profit with a mission to renovate basketball courts and install large-scale art on the surface of the courts to strengthen communities and inspire people to think more creatively about their environment. The organization has renovated over 70 courts since it launched in 2015.
