Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner reportedly has agreed to a five-year, $224 million rookie maximum extension. The deal could be worth up to $270 million, according to multiple reports

Wagner can sign the deal on July 6, when the league’s offseason moratorium on such moves is lifted.

Drafted No. 8 overall by the Magic in 2021, the young German forward has blossomed into a well-rounded scorer and a contributor on both ends of the court.

In 72 games last season, Wagner set career bests in points (19.7 ppg) , rebounds (5.3 rpg) and assists (3.7 apg)  — and helped the Magic win the Southeast Division and return to the playoffs for the first time since 2019-20.
