Gary Trent Jr. is returning to the Bucks on a multi-year deal.
The Milwaukee Bucks will bring back a familiar face in an offseason that has led to a reshaped roster.
Per ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Bucks agreed to a four-year, $64 million deal with guard Gary Trent Jr. to keep the sharpshooter with the team. This comes on the heels of Trent Jr. declining his player option and entering free agency. The Bucks officially announced the deal on July 16.

The 27-year-old Trent Jr. had played his previous two seasons in Milwaukee and will stick with Bucks long-term after averaging 8.1 points on 36% shooting from 3-point range last year and 11.1 points on 41.6% from deep in 2024-25. A second-round pick in 2018 out of Duke, he is a career 38.7% 3-point shooter across eight seasons with Milwaukee, Toronto and Portland.
Trent Jr.’s re-signing provides some continuity in an offseason full of change for Milwaukee that saw them trade former Kia MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat and bring for a large return of players headlined by Tyler Herro and the No. 13 pick in the NBA Draft, Nate Ament. The Bucks also were part of a six-team trade that saw them land Caris LeVert from the Pistons.
