NEW YORK, NY (June 12, 2019) – The New York Knicks are hitting the streets this summer to celebrate the game of basketball by partnering with renown New York City streetball destinations: Dyckman, West 4th Street, Watson, and Hoops in the Sun. The initiative includes basketball-focused community experiences at each court, outdoor youth clinics, as well as league sponsorships at the four locations: Dyckman Park in Washington Heights/Inwood, West 4th Street (The Cage) in Greenwich Village, Watson in the Bronx, and Hoops in the Sun at Orchard Beach in the Bronx.
As part of these initiatives, the Knicks will hold several clinics throughout the summer months to support New York City youth and their journey to be better basketball players. The first clinic will be held at Dyckman during their youth league draft day on Saturday, June 22.
The Knicks will also have activations, including every Wednesday night at Dyckman starting June 12. Opening night will bring Madison Square Garden to Dyckman Park with the 7th Ave Squad, Knicks alumni, contests, and giveaways.
