The Toronto Raptors rode the efforts of five double-digit scorers to defeat the Charlotte Hornets in overtime, 87-84, in a Las Vegas Summer League second-round playoff game at Cox Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.

The game appeared destined for an extra quarter from the start, as the two teams were not only tied at the end of regulation, but at halftime as well. The Raptors (2-3) and Hornets (3-2) ultimately drew even 12 times overall, and they also traded the lead on 11 occasions. The stat sheet was unsurprisingly close in many categories, but Toronto enjoyed a clear advantage in three-point shooting, draining 44.0 percent of their 25 attempts while limiting Charlotte to a 23.0 percent success rate on their 23 tries.

The Hornets forced overtime with a spirited fourth-quarter rally, and they continued their run early in the extra period. However, the Raptors ultimately regained control and finished overtime on a 3-0 run to secure the win.

Dwayne Bacon paced Charlotte with 28 points and added five rebounds, two assists and one steal. Miles Bridges provided 18 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, four steals and one block. Joe Chealey chipped in 14 points, nine rebounds, four assists and one steal.

Rawle Alkins led the Raptors with a 25-point, 11-rebound double-double that also included two assists and one steal. Malachi Richardson supplied 14 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal. Shevon Thompson tallied 12 points, seven rebounds and one steal. Giddy Potts and Marquis Teague co-led the bench with matching 10-point tallies.

The Raptors advance to play the Cleveland Cavaliers in a quarterfinal round game.
