Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal will miss the team’s next two games because of a sprained left wrist, the team announced Monday. The guard, who leads Washington in scoring with 23.2 points per game, is having the injury evaluated further, the team said, and an update on his status will come after the two-game absence window.

Washington began the season 10-3 but is 13-23 since and has lost five straight games. The Wizards visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday (7:30 ET, TNT) and the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday (7 ET, NBA League Pass).
Beal has appeared in 40 of the Wizards’ 49 games this season and is shooting 45.1% overall and 30% on 3-pointers, both of which are marked drops from his career averages (45.6% overall; 37.2% on 3-pointers). Washington is 23-26 and is No. 11 in the Eastern Conference, trailing the No. 10-seeded Atlanta Hawks by one game.
