A.S. Douanes vs. Ferroviario de Maputo 

In the first Group C game of the day, A.S. Douanes takes on Maputo at Kigali Arena in Kigali, Rwanda. This game tips off at 11:30am ET and can be seen on NBA.com, NBA App, ESPN+, NBA TV, theBAL.com.

The Senegalese champions in A.S. Douanes are coming off a big win over GSP on Monday, especially thanks to Mamadou Lamine Diop who recorded a near double-double with 18 points and 9 rebounds.

Although Mozambique’s Maputo lost to Zamalek on Monday, the team is hopeful as Spanish import Alvaro Masa led the team with 24 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists. He remains vital for Maputo to find success against A.S. Douanes. 

 

Zamalek vs. GSP

The Basketball Africa League (BAL) game scheduled for Wednesday, May 19 between Zamalek and Groupement Sportif des Pétroliers (GSP) has been postponed in accordance with the league’s Health and Safety Protocols.  The game will be rescheduled at a later date.

Hosts Patriots Basketball Club are the most dominant force in Rwandan basketball over the past five seasons, having won four national league titles. The Patriots defeated the Rivers Hoopers 83-60 on Sunday in the inaugural BAL game. Brandon Costner was the driving force for the team posting 20 points in the win.

Madagascar’s GNBC is looking to bounce back after a loss on Monday to US Monastir.

But GNBC’s trio of Fabrice Mandimbison, Randriamampionona, Kiady Mijoro Razanamahenina and Cameron Ridle continue to remind everyone they aren’t in Kigali to make up numbers.
