Sixers add Seth Curry in trade with Mavericks

The sharpshooter is headed to Philadelphia in exchange for Josh Richardson and the 36th overall pick, Tyler Bey.

Seth Curry averaged 12.4 points over 64 games with Dallas last season.

The Philadelphia 76ers have acquired Seth Curry from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Josh Richardson and the 36th overall pick, the team announced.

Curry brings elite shooting skills to the Sixers. The 30-year-old guard shot a career-high 45.2% from 3-point range last season. In addition, Curry is married to Callie Rivers, the daughter of Sixers coach Doc Rivers.

Richardson was a key player for Philadelphia last season with averages of 13.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 30.8 minutes.

The 36th overall pick was used to select Tyler Bey.
