Dennis Schroder is headed to Brooklyn to join Mikal Bridges and the Nets.
The Brooklyn Nets have agreed to acquire guard Dennis Schroder and forward Thaddeus Young in a deal with the Toronto Raptors, the teams announced Thursday. After acquiring Dinwiddie, the Raptors then waived him.
Nets receive:

Raptors receive:
- Spencer Dinwiddie
What trade means for Nets: Brooklyn parts ways with Dinwiddie, who reportedly had grown disgruntled with his role on the team. Schroder, a 30-year-old guard from Germany, was in his first season with the Raptors and averaging 13.7 points, 6.1 assists and 2.7 rebounds over 51 games. Both Schroder and Young bring veteran experience to Brooklyn (20-30) as it looks to stay in the Play-In race.
What trade means for Raptors: Dinwiddie has struggled to find his rhythm this season with averages of 12.6 points and 6.0 assists. After being acquired by the Nets last season, he finished the year with averages of 16.5 points and 9.1 assists over the final 26 games of the season. Since he was waived, Dinwiddie may be able to latch on to a playoff team before the March 1 playoff eligibility waiver deadline.
