Pacers' Myles Turner week-to-week with ankle sprain

Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner will be week-to-week after suffering a sprained right ankle Wednesday night vs. the Brooklyn Nets, the team announced today.

Additionally, second-year point guard Edmond Sumner has a non-displaced fracture in his right hand and will be out for the next three weeks.

Turner went down after setting a pick on the Nets’ Garrett Temple. When Temple pivoted around Turner, he stepped on Turner’s right ankle. Starting at center, Turner had seven points and two rebounds when he went to the locker room with assistance. The Pacers defeated the Nets, 118-115.

He ranks fifth on the team in scoring (14.8 ppg) and second in rebounding (6.8 rpg) while leading the team in blocks (1.3 bpg). His absence could mean a larger role for fellow big man Domantas Sabonis as well as rookie Goga Bitadze and others in the frontcourt.
