NBA Twitter reacts to Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks winning NBA title

Giannis Antetokounmpo erupts for 50 points as the Bucks close out the Suns 105-98 in Game 6 to win their first NBA championship since 1971.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks to the 2021 NBA title thanks to his 50-point performance in Game 6.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Milwaukee Bucks to their first NBA Championship in 50 years, defeating the Phoenix Suns 105-98 on Tuesday night at Fiserv Forum.

It was a historical closeout performance for Giannis, who erupted for 50 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks. Since the NBA started recording blocks in 1973-74, Giannis is now the first player with at least 40 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks in a Finals game.

Named Finals MVP, he joins Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon as the only players in NBA history to win a regular season MVP Award, a Finals MVP Award and a Defensive Player of the Year Award.

Current and former players took to Twitter to congratulate the Bucks — and especially Giannis — on becoming NBA champions.
