With over 5,000 players in NBA history, at least one player was born on every day of the calendar year – including three leap day ballers. Our day-by-day breakdown of the players born on each day of the year continues.
Below are the most notable NBA players born on Dec. 6.
Giannis Antetokounmpo (1994): “The Greek Freak” will be known as the greatest player from Greece. This 6-foot-11 forward was taken 15th overall in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks and has proven to be the best pick in that draft. Giannis broke out in 2016, winning Kia Most Improved Player that season. That was just the start of an epic run, making eight straight All-Star appearances since then. He also took down Kia MVP in back-to-back seasons, during 2018-2020, winning Kia Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 as well. Grabbing Milwaukee a championship in 2021 is likely his proudest achievement. Antetokounmpo is currently leading the league with 32.3 points per game this year as well.
