The Golden State Warriors defeated the Phoenix Suns, 90-73, in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Thomas & Mack Center on Saturday.

A 32-19 first quarter set the foundation for Golden State in this blowout victory, holding a double-digit lead for the final three frames. They got their lead up to 25 points at times. The Warriors shot 44.7% from the field and 31.3% from 3-point range, while the Suns shot 33.3% from the field and 18.8% from long range. Golden State also out-assisted Phoenix, 22-13, while outscoring them in the paint, 46-26.

The Warriors (1-0) were led by Daeqwon Plowden, providing 19 points and two rebounds. Brandin Podziemski had 16 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals. Jackson Rowe totaled 14 points, nine rebounds, two assists and four steals, while Trayce Jackson-Davis tallied 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists.

The Suns (0-1) were led by Michael Davoe, leading the way with 19 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals. David Roddy had 12 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Quinddary Weatherspoon led the bench with seven points, three rebounds and three steals.

Golden State has to play again on Sunday, facing the Chicago Bulls. As for Phoenix, they play the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday in their next game.
