The Sacramento Kings defeated the Atlanta Hawks 80-76 at Cox Pavilion in the NBA 2K24 Summer League opener for both teams in Las Vegas on Friday.
The game ended up going to the wire with both teams separated by just two points in the final two minutes. However, the Kings got a stop when they needed it and ended up securing the victory.
Jordan Ford led the way for the Kings with 20 points while Neemias Queta posted a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double that included two steals. Kessler Edwards had 14 points, Colby Jones delivered 13 and Keon Ellis finished with 11 points, five boards, five steals and three assists.
Mfioundu Kabengele led the way for the Hawks’ starters with 13 points and five rebounds while AJ Griffin notched 12 and nine rebounds. No other Hawks starter had double-digit points, but Brady Manek impressed with a game-high 17 points across 19 minutes off the bench.
