The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Brooklyn Nets 94-90 in the NBA 2K23 Summer League at Cox Pavilion on Friday.

There were only four ties and three lead changes in this game with two massive swings. The Nets led by 13 points in the first quarter, but the Bucks captured a game-high 17-point lead at the end of the third quarter. Milwaukee rode that 28-15 third quarter to a win, with Brooklyn logging a 35-22 fourth quarter to make it tight at the end. The Nets had a three-point attempt to tie the game late but never tied or led in the second half. The Bucks shot 52 percent from three-point range while holding the Nets to 31 percent. They also outpaced Brooklyn in assists, 19-11, while leading in points off turnovers, 23-12.

The Bucks (1-0) were led by Sandro Mamukelashvili, who finished with 17 points, five rebounds and two assists. Lindell Wigginton came off the bench to provide 17 points, two rebounds and seven assists. MarJon Beauchamp totaled 16 points and three boards, while AJ Green accrued 14 points and two boards.

The Nets (0-1) were led by Cam Thomas, who scored 17 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter. David Duke had 22 points, three rebounds and three assists. Day’Ron Sharpe tallied eight points, 10 rebounds and three steals, while Noah Kirkwood led the bench with eight points and three rebounds.

On deck for Brooklyn is a matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, while the Bucks match up with the Boston Celtics on Monday for their next game.
