NBA legend LeBron James etched another entry on his illustrious resume Saturday, earning Olympic MVP honors after playing a lead role in helping Team USA secure its fifth straight gold medal and 17th overall.

James averaged 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 1.3 steals in six tournament games, all U.S. victories. He played his usual steadying role in Team USA’s 98-87 triumph over France for the championship with 14 points, six rebounds, 10 assists and two steals in 33 minutes.

James joins fellow American standout Kevin Durant (2020) and Argentina’s Manu Ginobili (2004) as the lone players to be named Olympic MVP in history.

James also made the Olympic All-Star Five, joining Team USA’s Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic of Serbia, France’s Victor Wembanyama and Dennis Schroder of Germany.
