The Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t about to take any risks with their superstar in the preseason. LeBron James, who injured his left ankle in practice last week, will not suit up tonight against the Indiana Pacers (7:30 ET, League Pass).
James missed the Cavs’ preseason opener on Oct. 4 and will be held out tonight as a precautionary measure. Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com has more:
LeBron James (left ankle) will not play in the Cavaliers’ second preseason game tonight against the Indiana Pacers, according to the team.
James didn’t play in the Cavs’ preseason opener against the Hawks after suffering an ankle sprain Sept. 27. He practiced Thursday and did not suffer any setbacks; he’s being held out against the Pacers for precautionary reasons.
Iman Shumpert (left foot sprain), Cedi Osman (back spasms), and Isaiah Thomas (right hip) are out tonight, too.
