The Utah Jazz defeated the Miami Heat 84-65 in the MGM Resorts Summer League at Cox Pavilion on Friday.

This was a tale of two halves, with Miami holding the lead for the entirety of the first half and Utah cruising to victory in the second half. In fact, there was only one lead change, with Utah riding a 52-32 second half to their victory. An 11-0 run spanning between the third and fourth quarters was the key stretch, turning a one-point lead into a 12-point margin. The Jazz ended up shooting 50% from the field while holding the Heat to 32% shooting. In addition, Utah outscored Miami in the paint 52-32 while out-rebounding them 50-42.

Omer Yurtseven led the Heat with 16 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and three blocks. Max Strus amassed 14 points, seven rebounds and two assists. DeJon Jarreau tallied 12 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Trent Forrest led the Jazz with 19 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Udoka Azubuike made all eight of his shots to finish with 18 points and nine boards. Elijah Hughes collected 17 points, two rebounds, four assists and two steals. MaCio Teague led the bench with 11 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Miami plays the second half of a back-to-back Saturday, facing the Atlanta Hawks. As for Utah, they return to action on Sunday versus the LA Clippers.
