Ish Wainwright and Precious Achiuwa combined for 39 points to lead the Raptors to a 92-76 win over the Rockets at Thomas and Mack Center in an MGM Resorts Summer League battle Thursday.

The Raptors set the tone for the double-digit win with a strong first half that saw them parlay a four-point first-quarter lead into a 15-point halftime advantage. There was no cooling off at halftime, as Toronto added another four points to its edge going into the final period. There were only two lead changes and three ties during the contest, and the Raptors held as big as a 23-point lead during the second half.

Rookie Josh Christopher led the Rockets with 14 points, adding five rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks. Second overall selection Jalen Green followed with 13 points, three rebounds and one assist in 12 minutes before exiting due to hamstring tightness. Marcus Foster chipped in 11 points, three boards and one assist. Kenyon Martin and Alperen Sengun, another 2021 first-round pick, turned in matching nine-point tallies, with Sengun also pulling down 11 rebounds.

Wainwright paced the Raptors with 20 points to go with seven boards, two assists, four steals and two blocks. Achiuwa, who came over from Miami as part of the Kyle Lowry trade, supplied 19 points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Second-year guard Malachi Flynn registered 13 points, three rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block.

The Rockets are back in action Sunday night against the Orlando Magic, while the Raptors take on the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday evening.
