Group Play games in the In-Season Tournament across ESPN and TNT averaged 1.5 million viewers.

NEW YORK – The inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament Group Play stage delivered strong increases in television viewership, attendance and digital and social media engagement:

  • NATIONAL TV:
    • The Nov. 28 matchup between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors on TNT averaged 2M viewers, making it the most-watched NBA In-Season Tournament game to date and up 93% vs. last season’s comparable window.
    • Group Play games across ESPN and TNT averaged 1.5M viewers, up 26% vs. last season’s comparable windows.
  • LOCAL TV:
    • The average audience for Group Play games on regional sports networks and over-the-air stations finished up 20% vs. last November’s average.
  • ATTENDANCE:
    • Through the conclusion of Group Play, the NBA had its highest average attendance on record (18,206) for the month of November.
  • SOCIAL AND DIGITAL MEDIA:
    • The NBA In-Season Tournament propelled the NBA App and the league’s social media accounts to its best November ever (3.9B video views).
  • NBA LEAGUE PASS:
    • Watch time on NBA League Pass during the seven Group Play nights was up 25% vs. the comparable November dates last season.
