Chris Paul’s steady climb up several all-time leaderboards continued on Thursday night. The Suns’ floor general passed the legendary Michael Jordan for third place on the NBA’s all-time steals list with his final theft of the night in Phoenix’s 116-107 loss to the Clippers.

Paul, who helped guide the Suns to the franchise’s third Finals appearance in 2021, is an increasingly common sight in the NBA’s record books. In addition to his new place in career steals, the fourth overall pick of the 2005 Draft ranks third in assists, 38th in points and 48th in games played.
The Suns enter the All-Star break in fifth place in the Western Conference, with Paul and his teammates eagerly awaiting Kevin Durant’s team debut after acquiring him via trade at last week’s deadline.
