The 2023-24 Bulls’ City Edition uniform pays homage to the old Chicago Stadium which stood on the Near West Side for nearly 60 years until it was replaced by the current home of the Bulls – the United Center. It was known as the “Madhouse on Madison” for its rollicking crowds.
The Chicago Stadium’s history resonates with Chicagoans near and far, as the host of some of the team’s most cherished legendary moments, including three NBA World Championships.
The name Madhouse on Madison comes from the Chicago Stadium, known for its loud volume and steep seating which makes fans feel closer to the game. The short logo shows inspiration from the hand-painted court in Chicago Stadium which highlights the imperfection and personality to the era.
The uniform’s vertical Chicago Stadium sign is an easily-identified graphic from the Chicago Stadium era.
The jocktag displays an old school font from signs and ticket stubs from the early 90s.
