Charlotte struck gold with the 2023-24 Charlotte Hornets City Edition uniform.
The jersey was inspired by Charlotte’s history as the home of the first U.S. Branch Mint and the Carolina Gold Rush of the early 1800s.
The uniform will “bring back the buzz” as it highlights “Buzz City” across the chest — a name originating from the team’s change from the Charlotte Bobcats to the Charlotte Hornets. The teal design features mint and gold accents with partial primary logos in gold, white and deep teal on each leg.
The mint side panels across the jersey and shorts feature a tonal design that resembles the exterior of a Hornet’s hive. An enlarged gold hornet patch is displayed on the shorts along with the phrase “The Hive is Alive” on the jocktag.
