Jones Jr. has been sidelined since Jan. 12 after sustaining a bone bruise in his right knee in the Bulls’ 138-112 loss to the Brooklyn Nets. Two weeks later, he suffered another setback when he fractured his right index finger during a workout.
The 6-foot-6 forward is averaging 6.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in 17.2 minutes per game, shooting 58.2% from the field. He has played in 31 games during his first season with the Bulls, making eight starts.
Chicago (35-21), one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, has been beset by injuries lately to guards Lonzo Ball (left knee surgery) and Alex Caruso (right wrist surgery).
