Bucks sign Cameron Payne to 1-year deal

Payne played with the Phoenix Suns for the last four seasons.

Cameron Payne averaged 9.8 points, 4.2 assists and 2.6 rebounds over four seasons with Phoenix.

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Bucks have signed guard Cameron Payne.

A 6-1 guard, Payne has played in 327 games (56 starts) across eight NBA seasons with Oklahoma City, Chicago, Cleveland and Phoenix. He holds career averages of 8.0 points, 3.4 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 18.2 minutes per game while shooting 42.0% from the field and 36.3% from three.

Payne spent the last four seasons with the Suns where he averaged 9.8 points, 4.2 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 20.2 minutes per game, shooting 43.4% overall and 38.4% from distance. Last season, the Murray State product averaged 10.3 points, 4.5 assists and 2.2 rebounds per contest.

Originally selected by the Thunder with the 14th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Payne has seen action in 53 career playoff games, including an NBA Finals appearance in 2021. He owns postseason averages of 6.4 points, 2.4 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game.
