OFFICIAL: Heat trade Okpala to Thunder
The Miami Heat added a 2026 second-round pick via a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for forward KZ Okpala, the Heat announced Wednesday. In addition, the teams agreed to amend the protections on a first-round pick Miami owes Oklahoma City.

OFFICIAL: Jazz trade Ingles, acquire Alexander-Walker & Hernangomez
The Portland Trail Blazers acquired injured veteran forward Joe Ingles from the Utah Jazz as part of a three-team trade on Wednesday with San Antonio that also sent Nickeil Alexander-Walker to the Jazz.
Utah receives:

- Juancho Hernangomez (via San Antonio)

Pacers will not trade Hield, per report
Buddy Hield went from the Sacramento Kings to the Indiana Pacers yesterday via the Domantas Sabonis trade and likely will be staying put. ESPN’s Zach Lowe reports that Hield seems unlikely to be moved by his new team before the Feb. 10 deadline.

Kings reportedly set asking price for Barnes
The Sacramento Kings parted with Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson yesterday and are willing to do likewise with veteran Harrison Barnes, per Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix. However, Mannix reports the Kings only want players that will help them win now in deals for Barnes and are not interested in “future-based offers.”

Report: Celtics may eye buyout market
Boston Celtics backup point guard Dennis Schroder has seen his name in trade chatter lately and, per Keith Smith of Sportrac, the reason for that is simple. Boston is comfortable with Josh Richardson taking on backup playmaking duties as well as the Celtics may look to the buyout market for guard help once the trade deadline passes.

Lillard: My ‘heart’ is with Blazers
After Portland traded CJ McCollum yesterday in a blockbuster move amid a seeming rebuild, Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard talked with Casey Holdahl on Blazers.com. In the Q&A interview, Lillard reflected on his time with McCollum and, when asked about his feelings on the state of the team said: “For me, my heart is Portland Trail Blazer. I want to win it. I know that I have a plan that’s going to put me on my best level when I come back to play. And I want our team to fit that.”

Embiid open to Simmons’ return
Whether or not Philadelphia 76ers guard Ben Simmons gets by the Feb. 10 deadline remains to be seen. After the 76ers’ 114-109 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday, star center Joel Embiid sounded open to Simmons return should that happen, per ESPN. “Anybody is welcome to play. If you want to be part of us, I’m sure everybody will be fine with it, but you have to show up and want to be there.”

Webster: Dragic’s contract a ‘unique piece’
The Toronto Raptors have an intriguing potential trade piece in veteran guard Goran Dragic, who has appeared in five games for the team this season. His expiring contract — which is worth $19 million — could make Toronto a player in the trade deadline, Raptors GM Bobby Webster told the Toronto Star‘s Doug Smith of Dragic’s contract. “I don’t know about have to (make a trade) but I think it’s a unique piece. There’s not many of them around the league so you get to be in conversations that you typically aren’t.”
