Jay Money: I like the LA Sparks here -5.5. You might even be able to get it at -5 by game time, it looks like it’s starting to go down a little bit.
But I do like the Sparks in this spot. They did just lose to the Minnesota Lynx a few games ago so I like this as a quick revenge spot after losing 91-86 in Minnesota. That was on Sylvia Fowles retirement night so the Lynx had a ton of motivation.
The Lynx won’t have a ton of paint protection in this spot with their starting center, Jessica Shepard out for this game. She had 13 rebounds in that last game and averages 9.1 on the season. You won’t have the paint protection, won’t have that size, and they’ll be missing her rebounding. That’ll be big going up against Dearica Hamby and Nneka Ogwumike; hopefully they get Chiney Ogwumike back as well.
I am liking the Sparks here to bounce back even though they’re at a rest disadvantage, I think they can get it done and play a lot better.
Pick: Sparks -5.5 |
