Tuesday's WNBA Player Props: Back Jefferson & McBride

Bryan Fonseca breaks down his top WNBA player prop picks for Tuesday, August 29, including a bet for Moriah Jefferson. Facebook

The run continues…

We went 2-for-2 on Friday, thanks to Nneka Ogwumike and Layshia Clarendon.

I thought about going with Ogwumike again tonight, but spoiler alert, I did not.

We’ve hit on 12 of our last 15 props going back to August 8th.

It’s a three-week hot streak, so let’s end the month on a high note.

The Phoenix Mercury are decimated by injuries.

Sophie Cunningham and Shey Peddy are out, Diana Taurasi is questionable, and they’re facing the Atlanta Dream, who aren’t a model of consistency.

Jefferson has dished out four or more assists in just one of her last three games, a stretch that includes a game where she recorded just a single assist despite playing 25 minutes.

However, in the eight games before that, she hit at least four assists every single time. Every. Single. Time.

Now, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle, but I’m rolling with Jefferson to get back to three or more assists, especially with Brittney Griner back in the lineup following her return two nights ago.

Pick: Moriah Jefferson Over 3.5 Assists -115

Lynx vs.

Mystics

Kayla McBride, Over 2.5 Made 3s +106

Spread Mystics -6.5

Kayla McBride made four 3s in back-to-back games before hitting just one against the New York Liberty over the weekend.

Could you blame her? Have you seen the Liberty defend on the perimeter?

The Washington Mystics, formidable as they are, have allowed McBride to score 15 and 24 points against them this season, including a game where she hit four 3s on June 3rd. This is noteworthy because her point total is set at 14.5 points — which I also like.

McBride has been in a much better rhythm offensively this month as she has hit 38% from deep since July 28, averaging over seven attempts and 2.7 makes over that span. Expect her to stay hot tonight as she cashes our plus-money prop bet.

Pick: Kayla McBride Over 2.5 Made 3s +106
