NBA Player Props & Picks
Pascal Siakam, Over 22.5 Points (-112)
San Antonio Spurs vs. Toronto Raptors | Raptors -7 |
Time | TV | 7 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass |
Best Book | FanDuel |
The Toronto Raptors will host the San Antonio Spurs tonight as a seven-point home favorite. The Raptors are finally healthy and have all their players back on the court. In particular, Pascal Siakam has been on tear since he returned to the court for the Raptors.
Siakam returned to the floor on December 28th against the 76ers, scoring 28 points for the Raptors on 21 shots. In two games since, Siakam has scored 20 or more points in each game. The Raptors guards are doing a great job finding mismatches with Siakam. As a result, Siakam has 20 or more shot attempts in two out of the last three games.
Furthermore, I believe Siakam should have an easy time tonight scoring inside the paint because the Spurs over the last five games rank 28the in the league in points allowed in the paint to their opponents. Siakam can use his length and size to back down defenders and finish around the rim, especially when Jakob Poeltl isn’t nearby.
Duane Washington, Over 12.5 Points (+105)
Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks | Knicks -2.5 |
Time | TV | 7:30 p.m. ET | NBA TV |
Best Book | DraftKings |
The Indiana Pacers head to the big apple to take on the New York Knicks tonight, but they are dealing with a plethora of injuries at the guard position. Malcolm Brogdon, Chris Duarte, Caris Levert, and Jeremy Lamb are all in the health and safety protocols.
Duane Washington is one of the few healthy guards on this Pacers roster who will be playing starting for the team tonight. In his second career start on Sunday against the Cavaliers, Washington scored 20 points on 17 shot attempts for the Pacers.
As a result, I expect the same amount of shot volume and scoring opportunities tonight for Washington because of the lack of guards available on this roster. Furthermore, over the last week, the Knicks are allowing opposing point guards to score 21.4 points per game and 3.6 3-point shots made in that span. I love Washington’s value to step up for a thin Pacers roster tonight and score 13 or more.
Chris Paul, Over 9.5 Assists (+105)
Phoenix Suns vs. New Orleans Pelicans | Suns -7.5 |
Time | TV | 8 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass |
Best Book | DraftKings |
Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns travel to the Big Easy to face the New Orleans Pelicans at 8 p.m. ET. At the age of the 36, Paul leads the NBA in assists per game with 9.9 dimes per game.
This is the second matchup this season between these two teams. In the first game back on November 2nd, Paul led the Suns to a 112-100 victory over the Pelicans. In that game Paul dished out 18 assists for the Suns.
Additionally, the Pelicans defense has allowed opposing point guards to average 10.8 assists per game. Furthermore, the Phoenix Suns rank in the top 10 in Assist Percentage, Assists to Turnovers and Assist Ratio in the league. This is in large part due to Paul taking charge of the Suns offense and consistently finding his teammates in the right spots.
Lastly, in three out of his last five career games against the Pelicans, Paul has recorded 12 or more assists, and in one of those other games he dished out nine. At plus odds, I love this number to go over the total.
