Top 4 NBA Player Prop Bets for Wednesday (1/5)

With the NBA season in full swing, this is the time to target players who may have been underperforming earlier in the year, with their lines low as they start to get their legs under them to close the season out strong. Of course, there are always matchups to look out for and stars on hot streaks, but those numbers are unplayable sometimes. Here are my NBA Player Prop Bets for this evening’s slate.

Kyle Kuzma OVER 28.5 Pts + Reb -108

We all know just how good Bradley Beal is, but the Wizards may have found him a running mate in the form of Kyle Kuzma. In the three games since Beal returned, his assists have been way up, and the direct beneficiary has been Kuzma. He has actually hit this number in the last four games, as his usage is way up, at 27.4% in these four games, compared to his 20.7% usage rate for the season as a whole. In the last three games, he has really blown by the 28.5 needed. In the aforementioned three games, Kuzma is averaging 30 points per game and 12 rebounds on top of that.

Terry Rozier OVER 18.5 Points -118

Scary Terry has found a home in Charlotte, and he is heating up just as the weather is getting coldest. Over the last six games, he is averaging 22.2 points per game and is shooting an insane 47.3% from beyond the arc. That marksmanship from beyond the arc is why I think the Hornets lean on Terry, as the Pistons are 25th in the league at guarding threes. He had 25 in his last game in Washington, and he will look to keep it going off of a young Pistons team that may be too big for their britches after their upset of the century against Milwaukee last time out.

Cade Cunningham OVER 6.5 Assists +118

Loving the value here in a player who is truly growing by the game. Cade came right back off the COVID list to drop seven dimes on Milwaukee, and now he faces off against Charlotte, who allows the most assists per game to opponents. In his last four played, he is averaging nine assists per game. While he has struggled with efficiency from the field, he passes at a pro-level. As a result, I think Cade can approach double-double numbers here, but we will be smart and take the plus money gift.

Tyler Herro OVER 23.5 Points -105

With Jimmy Butler ruled out, it is expected that Tyler Herro will step up in his absence, as he has done a few times this season. The last two times Jimmy could not go, the young sharpshooter went for 29 and 26 respectively, and with the way the Trail Blazers defended at all levels last time out, the whole Heat team’s props may need to be taken. He had a tough time against a stout Warriors defense last time out, but this Portland team presents literally none of the challenges he had to deal with. Look for him to approach thirty points in 32-35 minutes played.
