Top 3 NBA Betting Picks for Wednesday, December 1st (2021)

After a short Tuesday slate that saw two great primetime games in Knicks/Nets and Warriors/Suns, the NBA returns for a jam-packed Wednesday that has nine games in total. As the calendar turns to December, let’s take a closer look at where the value lies on today’s board.

Here are three games I have my eye on.

1. Cavaliers +7.5 -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Winners of two straight but coverers of four straight, the Cavaliers are quietly playing some of the best basketball in the league over the past 10 days. Their losses since November 17th have come against the Nets, Warriors, and Suns, with most of those games being played at home where they haven’t been as good.

For the Heat, they come into tonight with their two most critical players hobbled at best, as Jimmy Butler deals with a bruised tailbone and Tyler Herro dealing with an illness. Specifically, in Butler’s absence, look for potential Rookie of the Year Evan Mobley to be in attack mode throughout the night tonight in Miami.

Over their last 10 on the road, the Cavaliers are 7-3 ATS and I look for them to improve on that record tonight.

2. Hornets +8 |  -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

With the #1 offense and #30 defense in the league, Hornets games have become quite the spectacle and a shootout on almost a nightly basis. Led by the 1-2 punch of Miles Bridges and LaMelo Ball, the Hornets have also been getting a boost from PG Terry Rozier who is averaging 18.2 points per game in his own right.

For the Bucks, a slow start has been followed up by seven straight wins (4-3 ATS) as the reigning champs are seemingly getting back on track. The competition, however, takes a step up in this one and I see the Hornets as a discount at +7 vs. a team who is still riding last year’s team as far as the odds go as I see it.

 3. Rocket/Thunder Under 213.5| -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

In what will be their third time meeting in the past two weeks, we are going back to what has cashed for us now on both occasions; the under. Cashing by an average of 25 points, a mix of being terrible on offense and getting two teams that know each other well has served us well.

In this one, I’m riding with the under once again between two teams in the bottom five of the league across the board in all major offensive categories, as well as an improving Houston defense.
